GovBot Treasury Fiscal Data

Read-only access to the datasets the U.S. Department of the Treasury publishes through its Fiscal Data API: the dataset catalog and field definitions, records from any published endpoint, Debt to the Penny, average interest rates on Treasury securities, and Treasury reporting rates of exchange. No account or sign-in is required.

Source

Bureau of the Fiscal Service, U.S. Department of the Treasury: the Fiscal Data API at api.fiscaldata.treasury.gov and its metadata catalog. Fiscal Data states that its data are offered free and without restriction.

Each result states the dataset, table and API endpoint, the record dates returned, the update frequency and last-updated date from the Fiscal Data catalog, the dataset page and the retrieval time. Values are returned as Treasury publishes them. Records are read live and held for up to ten minutes (the catalog for up to one hour) to limit repeat requests.

Scope and support

Results are published reference data as of the record date shown. They are not investment advice, recommendations or forecasts, and the service gives no view on buying, selling or holding any security or currency. Treasury can revise published records; each dataset page states its notes and known limitations. Average interest rates are rates on outstanding debt, not yields. Reporting rates of exchange are used for official U.S. government reporting and are not market rates. GovBot is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service or any government agency.
